Mobile Diagnostic Imaging

Our mobile diagnostic imaging services bring advanced, state-of-the-art equipment directly to your horse, providing the highest level of diagnostic precision and convenience both at the clinic and in the field. We offer an array of imaging technologies, including portable radiography, ultrasound, arthroscopy, endoscopy, oroscopy, and gastroscopy, each designed to support accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment plans.

Radiography

With two portable DR X-ray machines, we can perform detailed imaging in the field, capturing areas like the thoracic spine, head, and stifles. At our clinic, we use an Agfa CR X-ray system with a high-definition monitor, providing enhanced clarity for more complex cases. Our entire radiography setup was updated in 2016, ensuring we use only the latest, high-quality technology.

Ultrasound

We operate four diagnostic ultrasound machines to support a variety of equine health needs:

• Portable Unit: Ideal for reproductive assessments, tendon and ligament scans, and mobile lameness investigations.
• Clinic-Based Unit: Offers high-resolution imaging for tendon, limb, abdominal, chest, and heart examinations.

This combination of portable and clinic-based units allows us to provide flexible, high-quality ultrasound services tailored to your horse’s specific requirements.

Endoscopy

For respiratory diagnostics, we use two flexible fiber optic endoscopes to examine the upper respiratory tract, enabling thorough investigation of respiratory issues with minimal stress to the horse.

Oroscopy

Our advanced oroscopy services allow for detailed examination of the oral cavity, whether at our clinic or in the field. With specialised oroscopes, we can detect and address issues like diastema, periodontal disease, dental fractures, and soft tissue masses. A live video display enables horse owners to see any findings in real-time, offering a greater understanding of treatment options and involvement in ongoing care.

Gastroscopy

Our 3.5-meter digital gastroscope allows us to examine the stomach and the beginning of the small intestine, even in large horses, to identify and manage gastric conditions accurately. This high-resolution tool is crucial in diagnosing issues that may be causing discomfort or impacting performance.
